‘One Stop Shop’ for domestic abuse opens at the DLC in Walthamstow
Victims of Domestic Abuse in Waltham Forest will be offered multi-agency support through a new service.
A confidential drop in service for Domestic Abuse was opened at the CBHA Digital Learning Centre (DLC) in Saxon Close, Walthamstow this morning. Male and female victims will be able to use this 'one stop shop' to gain access to a variety of agencies for support including health and legal advice if required. It will be open every Wednesday from 10am to 12pm.
Cllr Liaquat Ali stated in his speech that LBWF will not shy away from the fight to end domestic violence in the Borough. Also in attendance were representatives from locally based organisations, the Mayor of Waltham Forest Cllr Saima Mahmud and Borough Commander Jacqueline Sebire.
Partnership working LBWF council, the Met Police and other local organisations will provide this confidential service to ensure that people are given the support that they need, regardless of personal circumstances.
