Resident talking to Peabody employee

We’re looking for enthusiastic and engaged people to join our Residents Council.

We're setting up a resident group to help us review Peabody's services and ensure that residents' views are represented at the very top of the organisation. This replaces our successful Scrutiny Panel (read Scrutiny Panel reviews here).

The Residents Council will look at customer-facing strategies and policies and undertake detailed reviews of individual services. It's a great opportunity to have an input into Peabody’s services and strategies and gain skills and experience in working as a strategic group.

How to join the Residents Council

If you would like to be a member, you'll need to complete the form below (if you'd like a paper copy please email us). Closing date for applications is 12 February 2016. Please note that if you do join the Council, you will have to:

  • Attend six core meetings a year
  • Be committed to working on scrutiny reviews up to four hours a month (depending on the view and level of involvement)
  • Work well within a team
  • Be objective about issues that affect residents across Peabody
  • Have a positive attitude towards working with Peabody
