Young CBHA residents in a garden

CBHA is pleased to announce that it has been shortlisted for the Best Social Housing Provider category in the Walthamstow Housing Awards 2014!

These awards are part of a resident led campaign seeking to promote the provision of affordable and quality housing for all in Walthamstow.

Voting is now open for Walthamstow residents to vote for the winners in each of the categories! Please note only Walthamstow residents can vote, and all entries will be required to provide an address and email address to ensure these awards are fair and that residents only vote once. Voting is now open and closes on December 20th 2014.

The Walthamstow Housing Awards 2014 were created by local campaigners working with MP Stella Creasy, following concerns raised by residents in a series of workshops held over the summer. These workshops looked at the causes of rising rents and house prices and what could be done locally to address these concerns. By highlighting good practice and areas of improvement the awards seek to improve the provision of housing for all in Walthamstow.

Residents have been nominating social housing providers, letting agents and estate agents since August 2014 from which the shortlist has been made. CBHA is therefore really pleased to have been shortlisted for this award through the independent nominations of its residents and neighbours.
