Do you have your money-saving Activate Card yet?
More than 50 CBHA residents have already applied for their Activate Card – worth £50 – since it was launched in February.
The card acts like a gift card and has £50 credit on it to use on all sorts of activities and sports. These could include karate, pilates, boxercise, football, tennis, yoga, body conditioning classes, to name just a few. It can also provide free membership to the Score centre.
The Activate Cards have been organised by CBHA in conjunction with Leyton Orient Community Sports Programme to help encourage people to get involved in sports and activities locally. A maximum of two per household are available.
CBHA well-being activities co-ordinator Shahina Begum said: “In the short time the cards have been available, we have seen many residents using them to join classes. The cards have been extremely successful in the Chingford area and it is great to see more people being active. There will be a launch event in all areas during the Easter holiday.”
