Could you get a grant to pay off your debt?
Residents taking advantage of EDF Energy Trust grants to pay off their gas and electric bill debt have together saved themselves a massive £5,000 since just October 2009.
CBHA money advisers have been letting residents know they can apply for the grant to get debt settled.
The Trust, which is financed by EDF Energy but acts independently of the company, is able to pay off energy and other essential household debts and costs.
Head of Revenues Martins Aimiuwu said: “We recommend residents in debt with energy, water or household payments fill out the application form. Those who have already successfully applied have had the relief of knowing their debt has all been paid. It has been great for them to have this fresh start.”
