Farewell to CBHA senior director Paul

Pauls Picture 2Residents said goodbye to senior director Paul Brown-Wood last week after 18 years with CBHA and the HAT.

Paul is a familiar face to CBHA residents after starting his housing career in 1984 as a resident caretaker for the borough. He moved up through senior caretaker, housing officer, principal housing officer for the HAT and into housing management. He became a housing services manager, area housing manager and then housing director in 2002. Last year he stepped up to interim chief executive before reverting to senior director.

He said: “I have loved every minute of being at CBHA. I am proud to have worked here and I think all the residents and staff should also be proud to be a part of this unique organisation. It is so much more than a housing association and always gives a personal touch. In fact, many residents have described it to me as being like a family.”

Now Paul plans to set up as an independent housing consultant and executive coach. He recently completed an ILM Level 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching.

• It is welcome back to chief executive Gary De Ferry who has returned to CBHA following his secondment to Peabody.
