Mayor of London meets CBHA residents

18 January 2011

Join the conversation about solving youth violence

CBHA staff and residents are invited to join The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, for a community conversation on how to tackle youth violence.

If you are concerned about crime in your local community, this is an ideal opportunity to discuss any good ideas to solve the problem.

The free event, to be held at the Epicentre, Leytonstone, follows the initiatives he has already introduced around youth violence. (You can check out these at www.london.gov.uk/priorities/crime-community-safety/tackling-priority-crimes/tackling-youth-violence.)

A spokesman said: “We want to use the events to help us transform the lives of the younger generation and make the streets safer for all Londoners.”

CBHA head of community development Roz Gordon will be facilitating a break-out session during the event.

Places are limited so CBHA residents are advised to book their free place early. Seating on the night will be on a first come, first served basis. People can also send questions for the Mayor in advance. Ring 020 7983 4100 or visit www.london.gov.uk /ccp.

The community conversation will be on Monday 24 January, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm with registration at 5.30pm at the Epicentre, 41 West Street, Leytonstone, E11 4LJ.
