Residents scrutiny meeting success

09 January 2012

There was a great turnout of residents at CBHA’s second Residents’ Scrutiny Panel training session on Saturday.

The day, at CBHA’s Leytonstone offices, was an important training session for the residents who have volunteered to examine CBHA’s services. It was led by independent trainers. The first session was in December.

The role of the panel is to scrutinize CBHA’s performance in all its services to residents. The panel will then make recommendations to senior management and the Board on how services can be improved. It will also examine how CBHA compares with other social landlords.

As a resident-led organisation, CBHA has embraced this opportunity for residents to drive further improvement in services.
Resident involvement officer Matthew Weekes, who attended the sessions, said: “The panel will scrutinise three or four services each year.

“They have chosen communications as the first service to look at. They will see what is currently provided and find out what our customers like and want.”

The Residents’ Scrutiny Panel’s findings and recommendations will be published on CBHA’s website and in our magazine, CBHA News.
