What’s happening at half-term?

There’s plenty going on for CBHA youth during this half-term.

The youth club at the Paradox, Chingford, will be open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 2pm to 8pm.
Within that time, some of the activities include:

• Fashion project, Monday, 4pm to 7pm
• Garden project, Tuesday, 2pm to 4pm
• Coat of Arms for young men, all four days, 4pm to 6pm.
• Chill out zones, all four days, 6pm to 7pm.

At Walthamstow DLC, youth workers Judy Griffiths, Douglas Muhammed and Activate co-ordinator Shahina Begum will be helping young people make smoothies and have fun cooking. This session will be on Thursday from 6pm to 8pm.

In addition, youth workers will be doing outreach work from the youth club venues so young people can drop in if they need to. There will also be some employment and training advice available.

Meanwhile, as part of the Our Say, Our Way project, a couple of CBHA young people will be going to Manchester for three days with Judy and new youth work trainee Saffron Mykels. They are developing a ‘tool kit’ for other social landlords to use to help them give young people a voice, using their experiences as part of this national project.
