Doreen Capstan House
CBHA owns and manages 26 flats at Doreen Capstan House in Leytonstone, for older residents who want to live independently but with extra support on hand if required.
Three additional flats for sheltered accommodation are also adjoined to Doreen Capstan House, bringing the total to 29 properties. There are two common rooms for social activities, which include pool, bingo, darts and coffee mornings.
Recent refurbishment at Doreen Capstan House has seen the laundry and guest room redecorated, new chairs added to the lounge and colours for new paint and carpet chosen by residents.
Residents also enjoy days out organised by CBHA staff, which have included a sight-seeing tour around London, a visit to a horticultural centre in Chelmsford and a trip to Lee Valley Park to enjoy the river.
